Before You Begin Your Experiment, Let’s Give You A Formal Briefing about Our Objectives:

It is a bitter truth that several filmmakers, despite having formidable filmmaking skills, are unable to display their content to viewers across the world, for the lack of proper exposure. 

Being the organizers of one of the best experimental short film festivals, at BLUEZDOLPHINSMOISFF, we believe that a fair chance should be given to every interested candidate, to give them an opportunity to turn their dreams into reality. Every person has the right to follow their passion, which is why our juries understand the struggles of a new filmmaker and are always ready to extend their support for such filmmaking newbies from every corner of the world. 

In the experimental film society, it does not matter where the filmmaking aspirants come from, it is the talent of the filmmaker and the quality of the film that matters. Rules to Follow While Experimenting with Filmmaking:      

Just like any other experiment, experiments in cinema also come with a set of Dos and Don’ts. Following are the rules and regulations for experimental film festivals that must be adhered to for meeting the eligibility criteria of the festival: 

• The experimental films must be made either after, or in the year 2016, and they should have English subtitles (the only exception is when English is the official language of the country where the films are being watched by the audience).  

• A maximum time limit of 15 minutes has been fixed for the submission of all experimental films. Failure to adhere to the timing shall lead to elimination from the film festival. However, do note that if your content is outstanding, at BLUEZDOLPHINSMOISFF, we do accept experimental films of duration less than 60 minutes.  

Once your film is eligible for the experimental short film festivals, you will be informed about it via mail.   

The beauty of experimental films is that it endows the filmmaker with the power of absolute freedom of breaking down existing styles, techniques, and approaches to film direction. It allows the filmmaker to analyze the existing styles, explore and combine them, and bring out a unique film, the likes of which the world had not seen before.
